Weddings and Private Events Venue

The buzz of happy couples and wedding guests visiting The Wasing Estate to enjoy the happiest of days has been replaced in recent months by the hum of an army of gardeners, decorators, builders and even a top artist making wonderful improvements to the venue.

The team at Wasing pride themselves on keeping the venue and estate in tip top condition, and during this time without weddings they have made the most of finessing things in readiness to welcome back weddings.

Thanks to the incredible hard work of all the team, the exterior paintwork of the venue and the church tower are looking like new.

In front of the Castle Barn, landscaping has also been high on the agenda and is nearing completion.  Starting at the car park, an inviting gateway opens up to a beautifully planted new garden area with a meandering path, huge raised beds, oversized terracotta pots and seating areas leading to a prominent water feature.

Other wonderful improvements include a stunning mural in The Stables bar created by artist Frederick Wimsett.

Frederick Wimsett’s work, often inspired by 18th century chinoiserie, is already in the homes of many well-known and stylish Brits, including Alice Temperley, Kate Moss, Rita Ora and Paul O’Grady. His work is also featured at Christie’s auction house and he was commissioned by St Christopher’s Place to paint a three-metre-high portrait of the Queen to commemorate her 90th birthday.

The bespoke artistic design at Wasing incorporates physical and spiritual components that represent the past, present and future of the Wasing Estate.

Look out for this wonderful mural when you next visit. See if you can spot the delicate wild butterflies and the resident wildlife at Wasing. The Walled Garden and St Nicholas Parish Church are beautifully depicted as are many feathered friends including egrets flying over the lake, red kites soaring overhead and the most stunning pheasant in-flight.

A compass represents the family’s history in mapping and there is even a handsome fox – an animal that is featured on the family crest.

We are so looking forward to opening our doors again and hearing the sounds of celebration once more.
